I just had to respond to your site about the Singer sewing machine sales. Although I have to admit that I was extremely highly suspicious about the selling from a hotel or craft store business, I did a lot of checking. I got the model number from the salesman and went to my local Singer dealer to start with. Not only did they not have that model in stock, the owner had to call Singer to see about the availability of it. Model 9420T had just become available and he could not even near the price that T & R Distributing offered it for. On top of that, the machine warranty was the same no matter where it was bought because, yes, it is a valid Singer. I also talked to several other people in the area that had bought their machines, of similar models, 1-3 years before through the same type offer from the same company. Every single one of them had been more than pleased with their machines and the service from T & R and even went on to highly encourage taking advantage of their offer. After I bought my machine, I did have one small problem that I couldn't figure out and, when I called, they T & R offered to gived me a replacement, but the problem ended up being user (ME) orientated and not the problem of the machine. I bought my machine on 2/29/96 (2 years almost to date) and absolutely loooove it. It was in sealed manufacturer's packaging when I bought it, with warranty card included, and my local Singer dealer said that any problems that may occur is fully covered with him.

Although you may hear legitimate problems from an occasional person who has many negative things to say about this, I just had to add my own positive input to your collection.

The company that I dealt with is:
T&R Distributing
2923 W. Stolley Park Rd.
Grand Island, NE 68801
(308) 382-8137

Sincerely,

Lisa R. Bloodworth
