It really does snow in Texas. This is my back yard.

After a thunderstorm these round clouds, called mammatus, form. I captured these at sunset.
Another view of mammatus clouds. I get a number of comments on these pictures. If I remember correctly, this storm dropped softball sized hail in other parts of the county, and later spawned a few weak funnel clouds. (I live in Tornado Alley, which gets some of the most violent weather on the planet.)
