My Dollhouse, continued

Sometimes, as I am working, my cat Tiger likes to come help me. In this picture he has draped himself through the livingroom and diningroom areas and is looking out the bay doors. You can also see some of the wallpaper patterns I have used, and a few assorted pieces of furniture in various stages of completion on the second floor (including the infamous House of Miniatures canopy bed kit).

I've used upholstery velvet in a rich green and blue for carpeting in the two upstairs bedrooms and the livingroom area, including the front hall. What a difference it makes now! It's really starting to look finished. I've left the furniture in this picture to give you a sense of scale. As you can see, the rooms are much smaller than you'd expect them to be.

This is the tower section that attaches to the front of the house. You're supposed to assemble it one wall at a time, but I found it easier to leave it together and finish the inside than to try following the instructions and then do the wallpaper and trim mouldings. I haven't cut the paper out of the windows yet, but you can just faintly see the light coming through from behind where the openings are.
